Welcome Lydia Grace!

Julie's cousin Melanie and her husband Shawn just had wee Lydia Grace enter their lives this month. She was around 5 pounds, but picture perfect and very alert. Welcome welcome!

1st Snow!

Well, we got a little snow Thanksgiving weekend! Didn't stick around long, but it made a few snowballs. Guess we'll have to wait to use those sleds. :-)

Interesting Puzzle!

Check out this puzzle! All the pieces interlocked with a heart shape and all the pieces had interesting, mostly random shapes. Some were cut out to be distinctive shapes--like a dog, a cane, a crab, etc. Can you pick any out? It looks hard, but some regular puzzles are actually harder because the pieces have no distinguishing features.

Well, the craft room is finished...just in time for Thanksgiving when family will be here. What a fun project! Come over and do a craft with me! Wish me much creativity!

Craft room cupboard painting job

Here's the cupboard I'm getting ready for the craft room. We didn't have enough storage space, so we moved this in from outside (I picked it up at an antique store) where I was using it as a potting cupboard. It needed a little cleaning up to say the least, so it's getting a new coat of paint. There's a perfect spot for it in the craft room...right inbetween the two countertops.

Logan loves to look at books and is really careful with the pages, but now he has added audio...quite something since we have yet to hear his first real word! (Ok...he says maaaaaaa and daaaaaaaaaaaa.)

Preschool Pictures

Well, here's the little man! Trevin's preschool did school pictures and they turned out really nice. The October weather was nice so they could do it outside. He has a nice little class and his teachers are great.

Step 2 in the Craft Room

The countertops are up in the craft room! It looks really neat and I'm just itching to get my stuff in it and organized! Corey had some wonderful help from a friend of ours who does countertops for a living, so it got done in record time. We'd still be trying to figure out where the studs were if it was just us trying to work on it (while keeping the kids out of the drill bits). I just had to move my sewing machine table in so I could see something in place. The shelves to the right will be in there, too, mostly for storage, etc. I have a lot of wall shelves and knick knack display items for my craft supplies (stamps, paper, etc.) that will be hung on the wall above the countertops...some handy pegboard and cork board, too. I can just feel the creativity starting to flow! Ha!
