No training wheels!!!!!

Well last night we took the training wheels off Trevin's bike and he took off! He did great right from the start.

Garden planting time!

The garden and flower beds are planted! It doesn't look like much now, but I'm always amazed when I compare spring pics to end-of-summer pics and see the miracle of growth that happens over the season.

I laid a new stone path this year.

The garden area. Green peppers, tomatoes, green beans, watermelon, pumpkin, cantaloupe, cucumber, lettuce, onions, spinach. The green plant off to the right is garlic.

Cardinal family

We discovered a nest of baby cardinals in our rhododendron bush right outside our living room window. We welcome more cardinals and hope they make it because they are one of the nicest birds to watch.

Graduation Day!

Phew, it's been busy around here. Sorry for the lack of postings! No wonder I don't have any new comments. :-)
Trevin is out of preschool for the summer and had his preschool spring program and graduation on May 6th. What a hoot! They did a good job singing and they all got their certificates, and other than that it was nothing short of chaos! :-) The kids were cute.

Happy Birthday to Trevin!

So we did a rocket theme this year! I tried my hand at a rocket cake, and it didn't turn out too bad. After cake and ice cream, we headed to the park and launched the rockets that Trevin and Daddy have been so patiently waiting to launch. They were a success! It was so fun to watch them shoot up so high and then slowly float back down. Luckily the wind had died down, so we were able to safely recover the rocket each time. The kids had a blast...and so did the adults!
